Odaiba is known as Tokyo’s center for science and technology, with futuristic showrooms and architecture amongst progressive museums, yet in a far corner of the concrete island lies a window to Edo. Step back from the future and into the past; Oedo Onsen Monogatari is Odaiba’s Edo-themed hot spring theme park. Founded in 2003, it’s one of the largest onsen parks in Japan, an authentic onsen experience open 22 hours a day. Offering a number of baths, dress up in colorful yukata robes and take selfies with friends in the lavish outdoor foot spas or play with family in the amusement area, before heading into the food hall for dinner (or snack time, Round 4). Lit with hanging lanterns and nostalgic decor, a number of small eateries offer meals like sushi, ramen, different izakaya dishes, and your favorite drinks. Stay the night or arrive early to enjoy a traditional Japanese breakfast, too! For cleansing almost around the clock, relax while soaking in communal baths, pumped with minerals that leave your skin silky smooth, or be pampered with a luxury massage or salon facial. Eat, drink, bathe, repeat, Oedo Onsen Monogatari is a relaxation haven.
