Experience Details
Okonomiyaki and tempura are two Japanese foods that have one thing in common: they’ll definitely make your mouth water! Okonomiyaki is a style of Japanese savory pancake, made from a batter mixed with shredded cabbage that’s grilled on a teppanyaki hot plate, and then slathered with a thickened sweet soy sauce. Tempura, on the other hand, is no less delicious but it’s much less hearty, where different ingredients are dipped in a light tempura batter then deep-fried until crunchy. Why not learn how to make them for yourself, in this fun and delicious double headliner of a Tokyo Okonomiyaki and Tempura Cooking Class! This Tokyo Okonomiyaki and Tempura Cooking Class will teach you how to fix yourself a savory pancake and delicious bites of tempura, along with some tasty side dishes too. From the Osaka-style okonomiyaki batter to toppings, you’ll learn how to best grill these savory pancakes and flip them like an expert. You’ll then prepare ingredients for tempura and its batter, deep-frying the individual pieces until they’re perfectly crispy. Hit two birds with one stone, or satisfy one stomach with two tasty dishes, and sit down to Tokyo okonomiyaki and homemade tempura in this fun dual cooking class!

Experience Location
Meguro is central enough, but not quite in the thick of chaotic city life. Surrounded by a cluster of restaurants and bars of Meguro Dori Street, cherry blossoms line the canal along the Meguro River, a popular spot for hanami season in spring. Follow the river to the west and you’ll end up at the trendy bars and hipster cafes of Nakameguro. The ward stretches as far as Yutenji and Tokyo’s Little Europe in Jiyugaoka. Meguro is home to 500 Buddha statues in Daienji Temple, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, and the unusual Meguro Parasitological Museum.
