Experience Details
From October 24th to November 3rd, the annual Tokyo Ramen Show will be open for a limited time only, featuring 18 different ramen vendors. But first, you’ll start out exploring the alleys of Sangenjaya near Shibuya, a foodie destination that’s still relatively unknown among tourists. After you’ve had a chance to explore the backstreets of this super fun local hangout, the guide will take you to enjoy the Tokyo Ramen Show, where Japan’s gotochi ramen (regional types of ramen), like Fukuoka’s tonkotsu ramen and Hokkaido’s miso ramen, will be on display. Celebrate the diversity of ramen in Japan, tasting regional flavors, including a few unexpected, wildcard styles of ramen thrown into the mix. Started in 2009, the annual Tokyo Ramen Show is the go-to expo for ramen connoisseurs!

Relatively unknown to foreign tourists, Sangenjaya is considered to be among one of the best neighborhoods to live in Tokyo. Artsy and laid-back, the vibes in Sangenjaya are quite welcoming, with a cozy cafe culture to match. Home to the Setagaya Public Theatre and various independent art galleries, as well as a stunning view of the city from the top of Carrot Tower, a visit to Sangenjaya makes for a leisurely day trip.
