With two different locations, the Toyosu Fish Market and Tsukiji Market, wrapped up in one food tour, this is the most all-encompassing fish market tour in Tokyo! Due to the relocation of Tsukiji Fish Market, the world’s largest fish market, to Toyosu in October 2018, the inner market of Tsukiji has been closed. But Tsukiji’s outer market, famous for fresh seafood and Japanese street food stalls and restaurants, is still open and thriving! This tour is a combination of two amazing markets where you can learn all about Japanese seafood and food culture while meeting fellow tourists with the same interest in Japanese food. While entering the Toyosu Fish Market’s inner market is prohibited, there is much to explore and discover around the outer areas. Then, visit the outer market of Tsukiji and mini wholesale area while accompanied by our local guide. You will also get to taste different types of Japanese dishes ranging from fresh sushi to fried fish cake. The tour will end with an exquisite sushi meal at a local sushi restaurant, where you can savor every bite as you chat with fellow travelers. Please note that as we cannot enter the inner market of Toyosu Fish Market, instead we will be exploring the mini wholesale area of Tsukiji Market.
The minimum drinking age is 20 years in Japan. We will prepare alternative drinks for participants under 20 years old.

Please be reminded to wear comfortable shoes because there will be a lot of walking. Sandals are prohibited as you can’t enter the market wearing them.
The food tour starts strictly on time. Please be respectful of the other guests. If guests do not arrive at the meeting point by the departure time, the tour will begin regardless.
Experience Location
The Toyosu Fish Market is much larger than the old Tsukiji Fish Market whose auction was relocated in order to control the amount of foot traffic by visitors and tourists. Created during the 1930s and later enlarged, Toyosu is a man-made island located in Tokyo, near Odaiba. One of its main attractions is Lalaport Toyosu, one of the biggest shopping malls in central Tokyo. It houses many international and local establishments ranging from restaurants, brand-name boutiques, a cinema, and a promenade. Toyosu is also home to the first 7-Eleven convenience store in Japan, which opened in 1974.
