Okina is ostensibly a soba restaurant, but in reality it’s so much more than that. Guests at this Michelin-starred Tokyo restaurant enjoy a full traditional Japanese feast in the fashion of kaiseki. Soba noodles are admittedly the star of the show, but they share the stage with delicious Hokkaido seafood and other seasonal delicacies. You’ll find their fully handmade buckwheat soba featured in a range of styles. In summer, one of the highlights is soba served with yuzu citrus fruit for a cooling, tangy sensation. Western ingredients also feature in many of the dishes, such as truffle shavings and olive oil.
